its an awesome indoor antenna for the price. there is one one problem i can only get 4 out of the 6 hd channels because the other two signals come from a different locations. i need to get a multi directional antenna. great starter antenna though ;)
Needless to say, after two minutes setting it up, my TV now picks up all digital channels in the area. According to AntennaWeb, my home needed a multi-directional antenna, which is primarily situated outside. I really didn't want to deal with the installation process for an outdoor antenna, so I did my research, and this antenna fit the bill. I am in a 20 mile range from the local broadcasting towers, and they are (for the majority) placed in the same direction (220 degrees). Great product by Terk, very satisfied with my purchase.
This antenna gets signals that many others would not. I now get a ton of HD stations that were unknown to me before Ki bought this Terk HD antenna.
I live on top of a hill about 20 miles from downtown. Couldn't ever get a good enough signal for a high def channel to come in and the other channels were always fuzzy. I point this thing towards downtown and get nothing. I even put it up in the attic and lugged a tv up there to test it. I aimed this every which way and nothing seemed to help. Complete waste of money.
The Terk HDTVi antenna provides reliable reception to two-sets of over-the-air channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, CW, and ION). I live between Boston, MA, and Providence, RI. I initially purchased this antenna because the rabbit ears and loop I was using provided intermittent reception to most channels in my area. I was so pleased I purchase one for my mother and one for my mother-in-law.One caveat. It is directional and does have to be pointed in the general direction of the transmitting station.
